ERATO Quantum Computation and Information Project
General
The workshop highlights the state-of-the-art of quantum information
theory in a two-day meeting organized by the COE project, and features
invited talks from the viewpoint of the Superrobust computation
subproject, such as quantum error-correcting codes and
quantum-information-theoretic treatment of decoherence and noises in
quantum information processing.
The workshop also focuses on quantum statistical inference,
the theory of quantum communication,
distinguishability and entanglement, including topics such as channel
capacities and resource tradeoffs, quantum source coding and data
compression, quantum channel coding and error-correcting codes, state
and channel distinguishability and tomography, entanglement and
entanglement measures, additivity/nonadditivity results, quantum
cryptographic theory, teleportation and entanglement-assisted
communication, and interaction as a communication primitive.
